Putting Safety first

The Magnificent Ritchtersveld
We operate on the Richterveld section. River canoeing or rafting trips through this section offer an unimaginable experience. We chose this section of the Orange River because of its sheer magnificent natural wealth and scenery. This gem is nestled between South Africa and Namibia between the Richtersveld Mountains. Our section of the river is fed by dams higher up the stream, for agricultural development; they regularly release water which means we almost always have enough water for an unforgettable canoeing trip. The river is classified as grade 1 and 2, meaning it offers gentle rapids that are not too challenging. It’s suitable for families of all ages.

Canoeing Base Camp Location
Our launch point for our Canoeing trips is at Bundi Africa Camp. This River Base is conveniently located in Nordoewer, Namibia between the South African & Namibian borders, halfway between Windhoek and Cape Town. Situated on Plot 424, Noordoewer, and overlooking the Orange River, the River Base is where the action start. Guests drive up and meet here then sleep overnight before gearing up for their canoeing adventure and are transported back on the last day.
